Our services

Relationship Based Therapy

We use our understanding of nervous system regulation, interpersonal neurobiology, physics, attachment, mindfulness, and therapist authenticity to support our work with children and young people. This approach leans heavily into the work of Lisa Dion (Synergetic PT) in addition to long-established research in neuroscience, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and attachment theory (see Badenoch, 2008; Porges, 2011; Schore, 1994; Siegel, 1999). Preliminary research suggests that SPT significantly improves emotional tolerance and regulation (Dion & Gray, 2014; Simmons, 2020).

We embrace our understanding of the therapeutic powers of play, but we see this approach at its core as being a way of being in relationship with self and others. Our approach in this space is both non-directive and directive in its application. We allow the client to guide us forward, based on their needs and capacity.
